Response in Youth Climate and Environmental Action-Participation of CJCU International Students in Young Leaders Summit on Climate Change

The Happy Home World Alliance International (HHWAI), Embassy of Tuvalu, Chang Jung Christian University (CJCU), Chung Cheng University, and National Taiwan University, and Taiwan Association of Nursing Education worked hand in hand in October 26 and 27 organized the “First 60 Country Young Leaders Summit onClimate Change” to expand efforts of Taiwan’s public and private sectors and academia in sustainable development goals and cultivate global young leaders. Led by Dean of International College of Practice and Education for the Environment, 20 international students of Bachelor Degree Program in International Program for Sustainable Development attended the Summit.

In the summit, young leaders from 60 countries signed the “Taiwan Declaration” to call for the global cooperation in meeting climate change challenges and adaptation. Young attendees participated either online and offline to present their thoughts on climate change issues to understand global climate challenges and propose possible solutions.
