There are two convenience stores on the CJCU campus, Family Mart, which is on the first floor of the First Dormitory. and 7-11 located in the basement of the Fourth dormitory. Foreigner visiting to Taiwan will discover the convenience stores on the island live up to their name. The 7-11 stores in Taiwan are operated by the Uni-President Corporation, the largest food conglomerate in Asia, and offer many services that are rarely available in other countries' convenience stores. In addition to selling snacks, microwaveable meals, and toiletries, Taiwanese 7-11s provide services such as fax, photocopy, postal services, and parcel shipment.
Many of these additional services are available on the iBon kiosk—unfortunately, the operating software is only available in Chinese. The following are partial listing of services available at the majority of Taiwanese 7-11:

Health
Health examination
International students are required to submit a report of a recent (past 3 months) health examination (including test for the HIV antibody) as a part of their application for admission. A health examination report is also required to apply for the resident visa.
Health insurance
All international students should apply for a 5-month of health insurance with their insurance agents in their home country; in order for CJCU to apply the resident visa and Alien Resident visa for long-term foreign students, they are required to be enrolled under CJCU’s name in Taiwan’s National Health Insurance system, one of the best health care systems in the world. The monthly payments (NT$749) are very reasonable considering the coverage of medical, dental, and copayment of drug expenses.
Flu precautions
If your body temperature exceeds 37.5°C, do not attend class and seek for medical attention instead. In Taiwan, it is considered a courtesy to wear a face mask if you have to be in close proximity with others while having a cold or cough.
Dengue fever
In recent years, there have been a small number of dengue fever cases—, a mosquito borne disease,—in Kaohsiung and Tainan areas. Although the chances of contracting dengue fever in southern Taiwan are very low, students should keep their environments free of stagnant water.
Nursing Station
The University’s nursing station is located on the first floor of the First Academic Building and the working hour is from 8:10 to 17:10. The station dispenses over-the-counter pharmaceuticals and conducts basic health procedures, such as body temperature and blood pressure test.
